Traditional players in the transport and logistics sector are facing many challenges: increasing maturity of shippers in the purchase of services, e-commerce players who are raising market standards in terms of data to be supplied (transport) and automation needs (logistics), the arrival of start-ups offering digitized services, growing competition linked to the emergence of new players (Amazon, shipping companies,…).

We help logistics and transport providers succeed in this transformation by identifying with them opportunities for new services and productivity improvements offered by new technologies, improving the efficiency and agility of their organization, and optimizing their information systems.

New technologies and smart data

Three technologies are likely to have a major impact on the maritime transport sector in the coming years: Artificial Intelligence (reliability of boarding forecasts, optimization of maintenance), connected objects (real-time tracking) and block chain (securing transactions). Two prerequisites are necessary to take advantage of these new opportunities: having “smart data” and acquiring the tools/skills to analyze them!

TMS: the era of maturity at last ?

Driven by the growing complexity of shippers’ Supply Chains and customers’ needs to obtain regular, real-time information on their orders, the TMS market is experiencing strong growth. TMS enables shippers to better control the quality and costs of their transport operations. For carriers, it is at the heart of operational productivity and the primary data provider.
