Mews Startup Studio
Where industrial expertise meets AI venture building
Mews Startup Studio creates AI-powered startups designed from day one to solve real industrial problems. In partnership with Deepika, we combine deep industry knowledge, applied data science from Mews Labs, and startup agility – to build ventures that go beyond the proof of concept and into production.
THE PROBLEM WE SOLVE
Most industrial AI initiatives never make it past the pilot
AI offers transformative potential for simulation, prediction, and optimisation across industrial operations. Yet most companies struggle to move from experimentation to deployment. Internal processes are too rigid. Projects are technically impressive but disconnected from business priorities. And the startup ecosystem – whilst rich in capability – rarely builds with industrial constraints in mind.
The result: a growing gap between what AI could deliver and what actually reaches production.
Mews Startup Studio exists to close that gap.

HOW IT WORKS
From concept to commercial launch in 18 months
Our model combines the speed and creativity of startup building with the rigour and domain expertise of industrial consulting. Each venture is shaped around a concrete business need, validated with real users, and built for deployment at scale.
We work in three stages:
Stage 1 – Concept & prototype (0–6 months)
- Use case identification – Starting from real operational pain points, not technology in search of a problem
- Market & feasibility assessment – Evaluating market potential and defining core hypotheses
- Technology evaluation & PoC – Selecting the right technical approach and proving it works
- MVP delivery – Building a functional prototype ready for pilot deployment
Stage 2 – Validation & iteration (6–18 months)
- Pilot deployment – Testing with real users in real environments to validate adoption
- Business model definition – Structuring the commercial offer and pricing
- Product iteration – Refining based on user feedback, operational data, and market signals
- Fundraising preparation – Building the case for external investment where relevant
Stage 3 – Scale & deploy (18–24 months)
- Commercial launch – Going to market with a proven, production-ready product
- Organisation & talent – Building the team and operational structure for growth
- Product roadmap – Expanding the portfolio and deepening the offering
At every stage, the sponsoring company retains full strategic control – with the option to deploy internally, spin off as an independent venture, or stop.
OUR FIRST VENTURE
Built from the studio
SyneSys – AI-native MBSE automation
Systems engineering is essential for designing complex products – but MBSE adoption has been held back by steep learning curves, manual processes, and fragmented tooling. SyneSys changes this by enabling engineers to work in natural language with an AI that analyses documentation, generates validated models, and maintains full traceability automatically. Developed with CIL4Sys and Deepika for the French Defence Procurement Agency (DGA), SyneSys is now being deployed across aerospace, defence, and automotive programmes.
Up to 70% reduction in modelling time
50% improvement in requirements quality
3× faster MBSE adoption
More ventures in development – stay tuned.
