OPEO is joining forces with Mews Partners to pursue a shared ambition: a more competitive, stronger and more sustainable European industry. From R&D to supply chain, by way of operational excellence and manufacturing performance, bringing the two firms together creates a capability unique in Europe: supporting industrial companies in the strategic transformation of their operations, across the full breadth of their value chain and the full depth of their ecosystem. OPEO continues to work alongside its clients with its own teams and expertise.
Mews Partners has signed an agreement to acquire 100% of the share capital of OPEO, a consultancy specialising in operational transformation for industry. OPEO retains its identity and continues to operate.
For European industry, competitiveness is determined at ecosystem level. Challenges around production rates, quality and lead times arise simultaneously for prime contractors, subcontractors and suppliers.
Mews Partners supports industrial companies across their entire value chain, from R&D through to downstream operations, with a particular focus on large groups. OPEO is recognised for its expertise in manufacturing and operational excellence, with a strong presence among mid-sized companies and SMEs, as well as large groups. Together, the two firms strengthen their ability to support industrial transformation, from strategy to implementation, for the various players within the same ecosystem.
“It quickly became clear to us that OPEO and Mews Partners share a similar sense of purpose when it comes to serving European industry, and that our respective ambitions were a very good fit with our Mews Up development plan. First and foremost, bringing our two firms together is about alignment on a project and a shared determination to become a European leader in operations consulting for industry. We have numerous operational synergies to develop together.”
Franck Vigilant, CEO, Mews Partners
All of OPEO’s teams are part of the transaction, and every one of its founders and partners remains committed to the project. Both firms are strongly specialised in industry, with an entrepreneurial culture and a focus on concrete results for their clients. They will gradually build on their complementarity through joint projects, while each retaining its own identity and distinctive character.
“Since 2012, we have held one conviction: industry is a pillar of our economies. Improving and embedding our industrial models is something you build on the ground, alongside the teams, and measure in concrete results. Joining Mews Partners allows us to apply those same high standards on a larger scale, from R&D through to downstream operations, while holding on to what makes OPEO what it is: our expertise, our teams and our commitment to delivering results.”
David Machenaud, Founding Partner, OPEO
The transaction forms part of Mews Partners’ growth strategy. The firm will continue to expand in Europe, building on its presence in Germany and with markets such as Italy in its sights, to become the go-to firm for European industry.
